If the microphone is indeed bad, you'll probably be better off buying a whole new dock assembly. Unless you possess mad soldering skillz, you'll find it hard to get everything to go back the way it should.

Seriously, sometimes it's just AT&T's network having issues, especially if you hangup and try again, and it works just fine. This happens to me quite a lot.

Hi, I’ve just had my charging port renewed on my iph8. When I got it back I noticed when making calls I can hear the person I’m calling but they can’t hear me. I created a voice recording through WhatsApp and it’s just static noise. I plugged my headphones in and made a call again and the other person seems to hear me fine through heads phones, this fault was not apparent before the charging port renewal. Please can you advise ? TIA
