My iPad mini2 has display problem, I didn't drop it, it just happened suddenly.

Does anyone have the same problem? Anyway that I can fix it by myself?

Thank you.

First, thank you so much for the video. It helps a ton.

I'm kinda torn on this one. It looks like an extreme case of ghost touching, which would mean a new digitizer would fix it. But I've never seen one on turbo like that. If it were me, I'd start by trying to restore it in iTunes. Its a 5 minute, free fix. If that works, great. Otherwise its almost certainly a bad digi/digi IC that is causing it to go nuts.

I did try reset factory setting, but remains the same.

And I have been thinking of whether I should replace either the digitizer or screen, or both.

Normally that kind of thing is because of the IC on the digitizer cable. Digis are pretty cheap for Minis, so try that first. I highly recommend getting one from a reputable supplier like ifixit, mobile defenders or group vertical.

As far as the people saying to check the LCD cable, that doesn't make much sense. The icons jumping is the key symptom to focus on. That and I have no idea how an LCD cable would magically need reconnecting.

Try a new digi and report back

Thank you so much for your advice. Will report back after the fix.

You can check your flex cable connector. But most likely you would need a new screen

For the cable connector, how can I tell if it needs to be replaced? Seems that my iPad definitely needs a new LCD screen, right?

Lines sound like a loose connection, I also had to replace an LCD with no obvious physical damage when the loose connection wasn't the problem.
