My phone would go dead at night before I go to bed and when I see it go dead I would put it on the charge and in the morning when I wake up it would be at the same percentage it was at night.

Make sure you're using a charger that has an output that matches the input on the phone. The output is usually 5 volts. If you have a 5 volt adapter and it still doesn't charge try a different USB or adapter and if it still doesn't charge try a different outlet and if it still doesn't charge try bringing the phone to Microsoft.
