Screen is white after digitizer replacement

I replaced digitizer on this device. The screen is completely white, but if I tilt the device I can see a picture. The touch function works. Is there something that I'm missing with this repair? I double-checked all connections. The problem seems to be that there is too much backlight. Thanks for your time.

Taking a guess, but maybe it's something to do with the polarizing filter. Try a different digitizer from a different seller and see what happens.

Could you explain what a polarization filter is and its function or what it looks like?

Okay, I found the problem with the white screen. There is a special plastic film that is tinted on the inside of the digitizer. I took my old digitizer and waved it over the display and I could see it perfectly, I took the new one with no plastic tinted film and it was white screen. I was able to peel this plastic film off the inside of the digitizer without damaging but the problem is going to be getting all the old adhesive off and trying to put new adhesive on and avoiding any impurities such as lint, dust. Does anyone have an idea where I could find a polarizer like this........ here is a picture.......

This is for a Kindle Fire 7 2015 edition. I believe it's a seven inch screen.

did you ever find a replacment

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

Thank you for taking the time to post this information. I just fitted a digitiser myself and had exactly the same issue. I only wish I'd read your post before I fitted it! Nonetheless, I was able to remove the digitiser and the film and then put the digitiser back on and it's perfect now. What a relief.

I too had this issue. I could barely see an arrow and 2 rectangles at the bottom left side. I did not have the glass stuck back to the tape, so I lifted it up and found that I missed pulling a protective cover sheet off the inside of the glass. I pulled it off and I could see the screen normally. It is working perfectly now. I hope this helps someone else.

Garry.

crwdns2934285:0crwdne2934285:0

I did not. I Even tried ordering a polarizing sheet from a company that specializes in polarizng film and it didn't work

I seem to have the opposite problem - the screen is far too dark! If I look directly at the screen I see nothing, if I tilt the screen to nearly 90 degrees from my eyeline I can see display. The touch screen appears to work.

Is this likely to be related? maybe 2 polarising films applied instead of 1?!
