Does my 1988 Chevy Cavalier come with an over drive transmission
My Cavalier at 65 mph sounds like its screaming with very hi rpm's. Im wondering if this cars transmission is not going into over drive or if it even has over drive. If it doesn't is there an option for one.

No, these transmissions are not over drive... Something is wrong inside the transmission.
I have a 1991 Cavalier Z24 and they didn't even have overdrive...I could not find another transmission option unless I put another engine in the car.
