New lightning connector kills battery

So i needed to replace my headphone jack/lighting connector cause i broke the headphone jack, when i did, it kills my battery in 20-30 mins, the logic board gets really hot, and stays that way, i got the seller to send me another one, thinking it was faulty, and it does the same, yet when i put my old one back in, it doesn't

I've had a similar problem with the iPhone 5. And I was told it was the U2 power chip?

Apparently some of the after market charging ports can cause this to pop????

Not sure if this could be the same thing? Cheaper way to eliminate next would be a new battery.
