Optical drive is loud after install.

I just installed both fans and optical drive, now the drive is a little loud and must be fed with firm motion to get past drive entrance, is this normal error for a used drive?

Reseat the far side of the optical drive (closest to the monitor). It's a bit tricky getting it in just right and will cause the problems you've talked about.
