screen not working after it got wet

Hello, I sprayed my mac while giving my son bath- the hose went crazy, and yes, I knew immediately- not a smart thing to do. It continued working with some flickering for a couple of days, and 2 days later, I shut down the computer and restarted, it is completely black. I am lucky I have an extra screen to attach or I wouldn't be able to look at anything. ;( Any tips? Or do I have to replace the whole screen? There are no other warning signs that I can see, and though the computer works slowly, it has since the last year.

Hello,

I think the lcd cable plug is damaged by water. You can try and open up the computer and clean the plug, maybe this help, if is not something from the actual lcd.
