How to get rid of the colour seeping across my phone screen?

It used to be a small spot in the top left corner

I had a green and blue patch at the corner of my phone screen. The colour only shows when the screen is on (the brighter the screen the more visible the colour) and the abnormale colouring did not show up in any screenshots. It looks like water so I put it in rice for a few days. When I took it out it had only gotten worst. The colour has now seeped across the screen and limits visibility. What should I do?

Did the phone actually get wet before the issue started?

yup. broken LCD as it is evidenced by the appearance on the right hand top corner. Replace it to repair your display.

@angelblais without actually seeing your screen and only going by your description, it sounds like a broken LCD. You most likely will have to replace it. Here is the guide for that.
