Phone is dead after I dropped it. What do I do?

I dropped my Fairphone, and it is now dead. What could be the fault and how do I know what to look for?

It was the battery. Replaced it, phone fixed. Never is it usually that easy.

It was the battery. Replaced battery, phone works.
