I recently replaced the cracked screen

I recently replaced the cracked screen. I tested it before I sealed it and it worked fine. Well after I sealed it then turned it on we got grey white swirls in the background. Did I damage the cable when I sealed it?

It sounds like you may have damaged the LCD connector or cable, you'll have to reopen the unit and check the cable going from the LCD to the motherboard.
