2002 Ford Focus: Why does my battery light stay on

Battery light came on. So I swapped out the alternator. Put it all back together right. Battery light stays on had it all tested and it seems to be fine just wondering if anyone has had some similar issues

Check your number 10 fuse in the underhood fusebox. It goes to the battery sensor. If that is fine, there has been an issue with positive battery harnesses on that model. You might check on that.
