I am doing a headphone jack replacement on an iPad Mini 2 and the audio crackles once it is back together.
Tried with a second jack, issue persists.
Is the replacement jack sold on iFixit for the iPad Mini 1 the same part for the iPad mini 2? I can't seem to specifically buy a headphone jack replacement part for the iPad mini 2.

Unfortunately, the iPad mini 1 and iPad mini 2 headphone jacks are different parts despite looking very similar. At this time iFixit does not stock the iPad mini 2 headphone jack. I am notifying our parts buyer that we're missing that part but it will take a while before we have them in stock. Curiously, my quick search of the internet did not turn up the iPad mini 2 headphone jack for sale individually as you said in your question, otherwise I could send you a link to someone who is selling them now. Our parts buyer said the part is in one of our supplier's catalogs so I'm sure it exists. Keep searching, it may turn up and I'll do my best to get the part added to our shop soon.
