The W123 chassis covers 240D's, 300D's, 300TD's, 280E's, and several other models of Mercedes coupes, sedans and wagons from model years 1977 to 1985.

W123 300 coupe rear window

Doing online research about rear window problems ( not rolling all that way down) I've found that is a very common problem, however, answers never seem to be accurate on how to approach the problem, some guiding towards regulators, others to switches etc .

My own problem is that window stop rolling down , when is 3/4 open and 1/4 left to be totally .

Can you please share some data base on your experience at this matter ?

Thanks you very much .

Your best option would be:

Check power to switch

Check power from switch whilst !#^&^$^ button(do this at regulator/ motor)

Now if they both equal around 12V

If you can see the rails make sure they look right

Now with the motor removed You will have to "bench test" motor/ regulator when doing this make sure it rotates though full motion

If it doesn't then that is problem

I can possible suppy a wiring diagram later today or tomorrow

Best of luck

Alex
