Are you using the original fuel pump or are you using an aftermarket electric pump for carb engine What are you using to regulate the pressure Is the holly pump a single or double pumper. All these issues need to be addressed when switching to an electric pump from mechanical on a carbed engine

I forgot to mention it is a 1990 1500 has stock in tank electric fuel pump, I'm running a holley 12-803 fuel pressure regulator which has in out and return all are hooked up in running an edelbrock 625 that I rebuilt the other day becaus my needles were sticking.
you may want to remove the tank pump and put in an inline electric pump. The stock in tank pump requires a constant back pressure and without it it shuts down. Most stock EFI return lines are too small for a carburetor conversion, creating more backpressure than the regulator. - See more at: https://aeromotiveinc.com/frequently-ask...
