Guide for Ulefone Paris Touch screen replacement

Hy All!

I broke my Ulefone Paris screen and I'd like to replace it.

I have experience in screen replacement (ZTE, Jiayu, THL, Samsung, Ipod touch etc)

Do you know any problems or traps about the screen replacement of Ulefone Paris?

Or has someone experience or guide about Ulefone Paris screen replacement?

Thank you in advance.

BR

Norbert

Its much easier. We did watch the youtube video. Changing a broken screen is much easier! don't disassemble your phone! Just apply heat to the screen to loosen the sticky mass the screen is sticked to the frame. Use the plastic part thats comes with the new screen together with the sucking device and carefully loosen the glass screen. Carefully loosen the small multiconnector that is attached to the flat-cable underneath the screen. And hey presto your broken screen is there without the use of any screwdriver. then use the old plastic sticker and attach that to the new screen(on the metal part. You will need some new gluet to stick the new screen to the frame. Thats all. No desoldering at all!

What do you mean by plastic sticker? @jwhen46

I must make the full exchange and touch lcd. the spare room is a complete block (you have a photo or video or detail drawing) thank you

There is a sort of thin black ulefone isolation sticker on the metal plate that is attached to the glass screen. I peeled that off and did put that on the new replacement screen,

Read the manual underneath by robertpei. Thats what I did too. Just use the old stickers where possible!

Don't make the mistake I made by disassembling the whole phone and desoldering the tiny flatcable attached to the on/off volume assembly. Hereby destroying this tiny bit. Damaged that and had to replace that by a new one too. Do not desolder anything at all. That is absolutely not necessary!!

Hi,

Here is a link that shows the dis-assembly of a Ulefone Paris. Although it doesn't get as far as the screen/digitizer dis-assembly it may be of some help to you.

Hy All,

I replaced my broken screen on my Ulefone Paris at last :)

OMG, it is easy as pie. Don't even need to disassemble the phone. Warranty tapes are intact!!!

Step by step:

- turn of phone, remove battery

- remove black plastic film under battery

- remove yellow tape from ribbon cable, disconnect screen ribbon cable from connector

- apply heat on screen

- carefully disassemble screen from phone (only the glass, plastic frame is part of phone base)

- move tapes from old screen to new if you like

- assemble new screen with phone using double sided tape

- connect ribbon cable to connector under battery, put yellow tape back to secure it

- put black plastic film back, insert battery and cover

- turn on and enjoy :)

Congratulations @norbertpeli that is awesome! I still havent replaced mine. Did you only change the glass or both glass + lcd? Did you record it/ take any pics? Did you apply heat with a hairdrier?

I will try it today we'll see how it goes!

Thanks for telling us!

There is only one ribbon laying underneath the screen. The screen has only one connector. Those two have to be connected. That should be connected. You might ask the ulefone service department like i did. Very friendly and helpful people there! (service@ulefone.com) They did send me this after I asked them for a specific part I damaged:

Hello, you can buy it from etotalk: http://www.etotalk.com/ulefone-paris-sid... and you can choose the shipping method.
