The sender unit may well be the problem but you dont need to pull the bed to replace or repair it . just drop the tank. The sender unit has small connection barbs on it that may get corroded by ethanol based fuels if you clean the connectors this can help.

It is the fuel sending unit you need to pull the bed off and replace it with a new one it will work perfectly then

really you want this guy to pull off the bed to change a sender unit
I would rather pull a bed than a tank any day. At least unbolt the bed and tilt it. Its only six bolts and it goes back on a !&&* of a lot easier than a tank.
Thanks guys I think il cut a door in bed and put hinges since older just in case for later but thanks
Cut bed and have trap door for later since old truck

When my truck is off it reads the amount of fuel it has but when I turn it on it goes to E. What could it be?
