Why my computer freezes up

My PowerMac G4 MDD 1.25 Freeze up every time I turn it on. Every 10 to 15 minutes. And won't shutdown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
