Size of logic board in a1151 and a1229 identical?

Can you put the logic board of the a1151 into the a1229's body?

You would need to replace a lot of parts, as the connectors on the A1151 are different from those on the rest of the original 17" MBP models. Also, the keyboard and left I/O board, while identical in form factor, are actually incompatible.

Hi Ben

to follow up on the discussion, if I want to change the A1151 board on my MBP by a 1229 (or 1261) board, I will also need to change:

- the left/right fans (or connectors)

- the left/right thermal sensors

- the I/O board

- the keyboard

is there any other parts?

thank you
