How come I can't text or call

I can not text or call I have WiFi but the bars are not lit up and when I try to call it says mobile network not found and I'm unable to send text messages

Have you got the SIM card in properly? Can you try your SIM card in another phone? Can you try another known working SIM card in your phone?
