the EMC No in my iMac is 2742, I can't ID my make here in ifixit, I need to add SSD but i don't know which guide I should follow.

the above websites show detailed videos, although the videos for ssd are not out yet.. they will be soon and i would advise you wait for them as they are your best bet

Lately, iMacs have had very few differences between year revisions. Our Late 2013 EMC 2638 guides should work fine for your model: iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2638 & EMC 2742 Late 2013

You shouldn't encounter any significant differences. If you do, let me know!
