Why does my Samsung DLP TV power off

TV powers off for no apparent reason. No pattern to this happening, very sporadic

Hello, Frank

It's possible you're seeing effects of bad capacitor, which some Samsung TVs are know for.

Some of the Samsung TVs covered by a settlement of a class action lawsuit include LCD, plasma, and DLP models made before December 31, 2008. Unfortunately, the website Samsung set up to help people with these clunker TVs no longer works.

If the problem appears very rarely and TV works fine after i would care so much. I have same problem with my Sony, but I'm going 9 years strong still. ( I'm pretty sure my problem is occasional spike somewhere in circuit board)
