screen got steamy but black. then battery got hot and now it only shows charging light took battery out to restart and charged but still non operational. can u help me

I recommend taking the whole thing apart and let each part sit in rice to soak up any remaining water. But it sounds like you tried turning it on after it was soaked, so you very well may have shorted out the motherboard and/or ruined the battery. Try doing what I said, but even then you might be replacing parts (if not the whole phone).

This has happened to me twice! Both times I salvaged the phone by IMMEDIATELY removing the battery, taking a shop vac and vacuuming every crack and crevice for about 5 minutes, then sealing the phone in a glad-ware bucket of rice for over 24 hours. Phone was like new after I blew all the rice dust off.

Mine fell in the water too. I tryed for about six hours to get it to turn on with no sucess. Then I used a hairdryer on it for about five min. then let it sit for an hour and did it again for about five min. after that it worked great.
