Can I replace a broken-off inverter socket?

I was going through the step by step directions to replace the hard drive, got as far as Step 10, and when I tried to pull up the inverter connector, it pulled the socket right off the circuit board; I wasn't pulling that hard, but apparently the cable connection was stronger than the adhesive.

Is it toast at this point, or can I somehow re-affix the socket? The four wires seem to be intact, and I can align them with the four traces; I don't see soldering points on the board, so do I just line them up and stick it down with some soft of adhesive?

If you're firm with a soldering iron take a fairly small tipped one (i do like my 25W Weller iron) and just resolder the socket. The amount of lead left on the part should be sufficiant. Just retip the whole thing.
