Google-branded tablet with a 7" screen. The device needs only prying tools and screwdrivers to fix. Model number: ME370T.

Place to sell/donate old part for refurbishing?

Does anyone know where you can sell/send failed parts to be refurbished? For example, I have a failed Nexus 7 motherboard that might be repairable by the right micro-miniature repair operation. Perhaps someone knows where you can send parts off to get a second life. This would need to be somewhere trusted to ensure the data off a failed part is properly wiped. I'm curious if anyone has any leads or if iFixit may be looking at that kind of service?

I'd like to know too, have a Nexus 7 with bad storage/Motherboard. I'm gonna pull the motherboard, but I'd like to see the rest go somewhere other than the garbage.

I can't wait till manufacturers have to include this information with purchase.

Well, we're actually talking about donating failed components after they are replaced. What can we do with the failed motherboard that we swapped out? iFixit appears to be interested in full devices only. It's a start, but still not a way to recycle failed components. Thanks for the idea.
