How to upgrade an iBook?

I have an

Model Name : ibook g3

CPU: 1

CPU speed: 7000MZwr

L2 cache : 512 KB

memory : 129 MG

Bus Speed : 100 Mhz

Mac OS x version :10.3.9

And I would like it to have wireless internet, be faster, and have more battery juice.

I know I can buy the parts but I don't know which one is the best and how I can set it up myself. If anyone has any ideas, it would help.

Hi, Looking at your chart the first thing to do would be to max your memory by adding a 512 MB chip. You can then add a airport card for wireless and some aftermarket sources have larger batteries. The last thing on the list would be a better hard drive. I will include some links to help you. Don't buy a hard drive larger than 128 GB. Ralph

Once you have upgraded your memory you can upgrade your OS to 10.4.11 (Tiger) which is the highest OS your computer will handle. Ralph
