The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (called the Note5) is a phablet-style phone with stylus, manufactured by Samsung, released in August 2015.

Rear camera glass replacement

My rear camera glass has shattered. I was wondering if I could find a replacement piece or workaround for this issue. I'm completely comfortable with tearing down the phone, but would very much prefer not to have to do so. If an s6 lens would fit, that's fine. Any solutions?

Hi, I have the same problem, what is the cost to supply & fit the rear glass?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

It cost me under $20 for the parts, and about 15 minutes of time. Keep in mind, that's just the glass, not the sensor.

There are no note 5 camera lenses available at the moment. I damaged my rear camera glass and the camera itself.

I replaced the camera in the device and used an s6 glass lens for the present time until parts are available. It works fine albeit the lens is noticeably too small.

Merely pry your old shattered lens off as it is held on by adhesive and stick the new one on! Hopefully this helps anyone who was in a similar predicament as I was.

The rear camera module is readily available online if you happened to have damaged it.

I have the same problem. I've had this phone for 2 weeks and the INS CO wants me to pay $225.

those are just on there with an adhesive, heat and pick it off. be careful to not damage the bezel if you don't want to replace that as well. Don't let your tool knick the camera lens or you'll have focusing problems afterwards. be sure and use a quality adhesive to put the new one back on and you're good to go. I don't know if an s6 lens will fit or not, but if it fits-it ships. you're good to go, theres nothing special about them.

First, thanks for the excellent advice. The s6 lens works as a good stopgap, but it doesn't fit perfectly (slightly too small).

Bobby, quick question. What kind of adhesive is safe to use to put a new glass on? I found lens cover kits on AliExpress, but do not want to open up the phone, would rather replace glass only.
