Hi. My scale is not giving me the right device weight for my penny collection. Does this mean it's broken?

On an empty scale, press tare to reset the scale to zero. Next, calibrate the scale using a 100 gram weight. If you don't have a 100 gram weight, the use of 20 U.S. nickles is acceptable.

You can use 1 cup of white sugar in a sandwich baggie if you don't have 20 nickels handy
