What parts to buy

Looking at buying a 1977 eldorado convertible. Know that 76 was last year for factory model, and 77's were converted coupes by a coach builder. How do you know what trim pieces ( moldings, rubber, etc) to look for? 1974, 1975, 1976???? Has any one ever tried to restore one of these? Thanks, Don
