Why led stop working but contoller still charges

I also have this problem, still charging but no LED. I've even replaced the charging port, the battery and the ribbon connecting the charging port to the main board. It did come on a few times but eventually cuts out completely. I can only assume it's a fault within the main board but I'd appreciate any suggestions?
