Unresponsive Menu and Home Buttons

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active SM- G870A released June 2014. Repair for this device is extensive and requires the phone tool kit and heat gun.

Would changing the active charging port solve any issues that the home and menu buttons may have? One of my buttons is unresponsive.

Most probably yes. The charger port comes with the button board as well (Menu Home Back).
