Device not recognized media device

Every time I plug my phone (Note 3 SM-N900) into a usb port i.e car stereo or pc. Nothing never happens or it says device not recognized. Why is this? And how do I fix

Make sure you have selected "Media Device" in the USB options (tap on the USB notification which shows when you connect your phone). Your stereo probably doesn't support MTP, which is the protocol used by your phone. As for your PC, you might want to try updating/installing the required drivers.
