Three ghost white lines after digitizer replacement?

Hi There. I just did my first ever digitizer replacement on a friend's iPad mini with retina display. The swap out went pretty good as far as I could tell but when I reassembled the device, there were three ghosted white lines vertically down the middle of the screen. They are each abuot a quarter inch thick and they are see through, but noticeable. I was very careful not to trap and glass shards or flecks from the cracked digitizer. I also did not use excessive heat. The only thing I may have done wrong was when removing the LCD, I was separating some of the black tape that holds the lcd close to the antennas on wither side of the home button. I may have exposed some copper traces along the edge of the lcd. To be honest, I don't even know if that makes sense. I'm not an electronics wiz and I apologize for not knowing the terminology. The edge of the lcd... I scraped away a small amount of the black coating, and I believe there was some copper exposed. I could be overreacting to that, but I cant think of another thing I may have done wrong.

Maybe I alternated one or two of the four screws that hold down the lcd. I know I got every other screw exactly right, but except for the lcd corner screw next to the rear facing camera (Which I know I replaced properly, I may have alternated one or two of the others.

Beyond the lines, the iPad mini works perfectly.

Oh.. I also did not replace one of the small magnetic spacers in the corner. I had watched many videos and hadn't seen anyone mention those. It was an oversight.

If need be I can open the device up again and replace the lcd and the digitizer again (since I am sure I'll break it opening the thing), but I don't want to do that if the lcd is not the problem.

Sorry for the confusing post. Again, I don't know all the proper terminology.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Any clue as to what may have gone wrong?

I had a single quarter inch horizontal line that looked like opaque plastic. I took off the digitiser and it was 'goo' stuck to the inside of the screen. Some careful cleaning and reassembly and it's all good.
