That's odd, do you have the driver and printer software installed? If not, the drivers for your printer should be at this URL http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/self.... Also, are you trying to connect to it over WiFi? I've found that removing the printer from my devices list and re-adding it sometimes helps if my WiFi printer stops responding to print jobs. You can find your devices list on Mac OSX by going to System Preferences and then finding the Printers and Scanners button. On Windows you can find your devices by clicking the Start button, and then, on the Start menu, clicking Devices and Printers.
