Is this for the upstream sensor or the downstream sensor

When I had a scan check down on my car, it came back with a p0131 code. Is this for the upstream sensor or the downstream sensor or both?

Ken Cappon, there are a few causes for the P0131 code:

- Faulty Front Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1

- Front Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 harness is open or shorted

- Front Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 circuit poor electrical connection

- Inappropriate fuel pressure

- Faulty fuel injectors

- Intake air leaks may be faulty

- Exhaust gas leaks from here

Replacing the Front Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 usually takes care of the problem.
