Gray display, no icons

Hi, I just replaced both the back and front panels on an iPhone 4. Now it’s very difficult to get a display and when I do it’s slightly dim. Battery is at 100%. I would appreciate advice on troubleshooting.

By poking around the top on the mother board the display comes on but may not stay on.
