upgrade force touch trackpad
is it possible to upgrade my trackpad in retina macbook pro (2012) to the new force touch trackpad?

Even if you could find the part, which will take months, the trackpad on MBPrs is mounted between the top case and some seriously glued on batteries. The probability of damaging the battery in the procedure coupled with the likely change in dimension of the force touch trackpad make this inadvisable to even attempt.

The 2013 and 2014 have a different cable connector on the logic board from the 2015.
