My xperia doesnt charge

I have Sony Xperia T over 2 years

everything works just fine but since last week i can not charge it...

when i plug in cable there should be red light that it is charging,but there is no light...

when i plug in cable it shows 64% battery..when i unplug it is 54%...but it wont go higher...

last week when it hit like 14% phone start to reseting itself and than i couldnt even start it,so i change for my old battery...same story...i thought maybe there is problem with battery so i bought new one...

but still same...with new battery phone works just fine because it is charged..but it wont charge anymore....

when i coonect phone to PC it communicate like there is no problem....also when i turn phone of and plug it to charger it start...

i tried factory reset, doesnt help...

can there be problem with usb port? or it is motherboard problem?

matuskorenciak, try a new cable first. If that should not work, check the USB charging port. If that is okay as well, then you have to consider working on the logic board. Possibly a PMIC issue.

i tried like 10 cables and everything...

how can i check charging port? when i connect it to PC it communicate ok...

i put there third new battery and i tried to leave it charging all night....now it is pluged in and it shows 12% but when i unplug it it shows 0% and phone will shut down...

i dont know how exactly it works, but could there be one broken pin just for charging? or all pins are used for charging?

Yes it could be the charging port. Do you have it disassembled? Post some images of the board with your question.

i replaced usb port and still same problem...it just doesnt charge....everything looks ok....do u know where could be problem and if it is repairable ?

i have a similar porblem too. it wouldnt charge and if i pressed the main button for a while a red light shows but then it disappears. i kept doing that while plugged in and i stoppped and observed that a red light would show up every after some seconds without me pressing the main button.

ive watched a video about how to solve the problem (i pressed the main and the volume up and down buttons at the same time and it should reset m phone but a red light and a certain vibration pattern only happens and after i let go, a green light shows then disappears) ive been doing that for a while now and i think my finger got tired so i accidentally pressed the main button twice while holding down the volume button and a blue light shows with no vibrations and the light stays but it still wont charge or power on. someone please help!

it seems to be fault coming from your power ic, power ic (PM) do the charging and discharging functioning in the logic board. it use few methods for charging the battery,

1)USB mode charging

2)AC mode charging

*)Normal charging (400-500 mA)

*)Rapid/fast charging(600<800 mA)

also it change the charging profile according to charged percentage %

0%-15% : Fast charging

15%-80% : Normal charging

80%-100% : cutoff charging

accounting to your sounds your PM still working for fast charging but it not fully functional.

i would like to offer two solution

1) analyze the battery if it is OK

2) check and change the PM IC : your PM ic should be PM8018
