My laptop has started to stutter when playing video from the internet. It does it on Skype, Youtube and Facebook videos. The screen freezes for a second or two and the sound stutters ddddddddddd.
I have checked the same video clips on my smartphone and all works fine through the same wifi. Any ideas what it could be.

It has taken me 5 days to sort out this problem. I have deleted programs, run diagnostic programs and done a defrag and clean up. Having searched the web I am not the only one with the problem. It would seem that Dell Support Assist and Dell Support Assist Agent were installed on my laptop without my knowledge on 12.Feb 2015. I have uninstalled both programs and this has resolved these issues.

Thanks PaulR. I checked and Dell support Assist was installed without my knowledge on my computer as well. Uninstalling them totally corrected the problem. Thank you very much.

Ι am encountering the same problem. I followed the tip above and removed Dell Support Assist from my pc. Unfortunately the problem ist still there! Should I perhaps remove Dell Digital Delivery Services as well?

Could be video driver issue as well as memory issue on your Dell. what have you tried? Does it play videos that are not being streamed ok?
