Camera only works in live mode
My nikon D5100 only works in live mode and I am not sure how to repair it

it may be that the mirror has fallen out.

By that I mean the mirror behind the lens that reflects the image into the view finder.
This happened to my camera.

IF mirror has no issues, then there are two chances :
1. Auto focus sensor has problem (Located below the mirror - bottom side of camera )
2. Prism assembly has problem

Thank you that seemed to fix the shutter problem, now the flash isn't working
