I have this same problem. I found a similar problem on a Lenovo Yoga board and they solved it by shaving part of of the plastic off of the plug, about a millimeter. It is not a 100% fix for the Samsung because you still have to angle the plug up to make the connection work and it is loose, but it does work.

Hello,

i have a problem with connecting my samsung ativ notebook to my external monitor with HDMI (micro).

This problem has occured since a week. I bought the laptop with windows 8, but currently using windows 10 (since 6 months).

It seems to be a driver issue... with the Radeon HD 8250 AMD.

Device manager says that there is a problem with graphic drivers.....Microsoft Basic Display Adapter (No ACPI support). I tried to delete it, but after that it still did not work.

Does anyone have any idea?

Please help me!

Not sure if this helps but I have an ATIV book 9 lite with win 10 and the hdmi works fine

I did use drivethelife to update all of my drivers after installing win 10, don't know if that made any difference

Unplug the HDMI cable - Go to "Device Manager" - "Dispaly Adapters" - "Intel Graphics" - Click the Driver option - Roll Back Driver (to whatever previous version) - then Update Driver again - Restart Computer and plug the HDMI back to test if it works.

Do this couple of times if it does not work at the first trial.

Someone else having a loose microHDMI and charge connector? Happened on all our Samsung laptops, getting glitched problems.
