Broke Flat cable Gimbal H3-3D

Hey, What's up?

I Broke my ribbon cable from zenmuse H3-3d, not the video usb cable.

Does anybody know how to fix it?

Where can I find it to buy?

Hey guys. Sorry my english, but i hope help anyone with this question.

I took my broken cable and search one people that try to welding.

3 eletronic story said to me that this rainbbon cable is impossible to welding. But i find one guy, he make the welding and fixed my broken gimbal.

Here is the picture:

I dont fly with the phantom 2 yet, but i turn it on and move the gimbal, and appears to be working.

Yes, it is possible to solder the Flex Ribbon Cable for Zenmuse H3-3D. I have done so on five different spots on mine.

Tools:

Magnifier or even better, some glasses with a lot of +

Scalpel with very thin tip

Thin soldering iron tip.

Thin solder...THIN

How to:

You may be forced to first take the gimbal apart. Check howto with YouTube first.

Plug in the iron. If possible, start with as low temperature as possible. Try on the solder first.

Locate the broken spot.

Carefully scratch approx 1.5 mm of both sides. Carefully! until the copper is not covered .

Put a tiny amounth of solder on both copper ends, put some very small amounth of solder on the clean soldering iron tip. CLEAN...ok? Then carefully drag the iron over the broken spot. Don't move anything for some seconds.

Voila! Connected!

If you are unlucky you may have to do this on all leads and maybe on several broken spots. This was the case for me.

I know it works because my P2 has been up n flying a lot since the repair.
