Nintendo's upgraded version of the Nintendo 3DS. It features bigger screens, longer battery life, better pixel density, and a better design.

How can I fix a "black screen of death" 3DS XL

Hello,

My bottom screen was broken, so I followed your guide in replacing it and all seemed well, except now when I power on the device, the power light stays on and stays blue, however both screens are black. Their backlights are on, but I have no sound or picture. What can I do? thank you.

Is this a good answer for the "Black screen of death" that wasn't caused by opening the system or dropping it/getting it wet in any way?

You must have forgotten to plug in the video ribbon on it. Or maybe it's not put in the whole way. If the image still doesn't display you must have damaged the motherboard somehow. I'd say most likely issue is that you just didn't push the ribbons in the whole way.
