Ipad wont turn on after screen replacement

I changed ipad 4th gen screen followed all the steps and my screen won't turn on and I have tried to do a hard reset nothing happens nothing will come up on the screen.

Try preforming a hard reset on the device. Plug iPad into power outlet from wall NOT computer, then hold down the top power button of the iPad and the front home button near the button. the Apple should display itself then you can let go of the buttons.

I second this bit of info; I just had the same issue, I read Con's solution, and the part where I plugged it into the wall and not the computer was the magic ingredient. I had previously tried a hard reset, but without being plugged into a wall outlet I had no success.
