Google-branded tablet with a 7" screen. The device needs only prying tools and screwdrivers to fix. Model number: ME370T.

My Nexus 7 totally crashed during an upgrade. Now what?

After the restart during the installation of a recent routine upgrade, it stays on the four colored circle pattern indefinitely. Using recovery mode I was able to try all the options there including the factory reset and finally shut it down. (Between the black and white Google screen and the circle pattern screen there is a flash that appears to be a magenta screen with four androids, one in each quadrant.) It's past warranty so Google says contact Asus for repair. Any ideas what happened? Is there a way I can fix this?

If you can get in to the bootloader, you may be able to flash the factory image. The only thing to worry about is the data on the tablet that you don't want to loose. If the boot loader is no good, contact google or Asus.
