I would like to buy an older mac mini (2012) and replace the wifi n card with the new wifi ac card of the Mac mini 2014 is this possible ?

To expand on machead3's answer, compare the existing AirPort card connectors in the 2011/2012 Mac Mini:

Quickertek produces three wireless AC/Bluetooth cards for older Macs. http://www.quickertek.com/products/Ucard...
The uCard was the correct card to add WiFi ac to the pre-2014 Mac Minis, though the screw mounts were not aligned correctly, however they discontinued the card. :(
