F60 error on Panasonic DVD recorder
I have a Panasonic DMR-ES40V VCR/DVD Recorder that suddenly will not start up. After the 000000's finish cycling when I plug it in, it gives a F60 error code and won't do anything else. No power light, no fan noise, etc. I have tried the reset options in the user manual, to no avail. Googling the issue seems to point to a video issue, but no one can tell me specifically what. If anyone can help me isolate the problem, I will appreciate it. Thanks.

I tried unplugging and holding power button, as suggested by old turkey. First time it did not work. I ejected VHS tape and tried again and it worked! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!

My Panasonic DMR-ES40V wouldn’t get past F60, so I replaced four bad capacitors on the power supply board. That got me to 12:00A and HELLO, but no further. I am able to use the remote to turn TV off/on and select AV2, but get “no signal” on the TV, and nothing more on the unit’s display. Is it toast, or is there something else to try.

Was there any fix to your issue? I’m getting to the same spots: HELLO and 12:00A
