Hello all, I have the solution to this problem. I called Samsung and got someone who knew the solution. When taking the picture, HOLD down the 'snap'/'capture' button, until the picture comes in focus, then release the button. SMILES EVERYONE. ☺
Select subject that you want to photograph
Hold down button
DO NOT release button, until subject is in focus
DO NOT TAP, KNOCK, BANG, SMASH, STOMP, OR ANY ACTION that could eventually cause more damage. Think about it, if you tapped yourself on the side of the head Every time you didn't operate properly, what do you think would happen?

I find that the inside lens is dirty. I don't have the tool to open and clean it though.
