No backlight new screen

Need some assistance. I'm new to Android and I hate them all...lol anyways

Samsung Galaxy Mega SCH-R960, no water damage, probably dropped, I bought it with a cracked screen and defective touchscreen. it was working fine besides that. I shelled out 100 bucks for an entire new housing (screen, back, case ect) and swapped the logic board. Everything went fine, turned on to no backlight. Backlight worked before this. Now I can barely see the LCD even with a flashlight.

I reset everything, took it all apart again redid all connections, tried a lot of things but nothing works. Any ideas what the issue is?

So to clarify, you purchased an entire LCD screen and digitizer assembly to replace the cracked screen and defective touchscreen? If this was the case, it sounds like the backlight that came with the new assembly might be defective.

Thats what I was thinking, but they said they checked it and the screen worked. I'll plug in the old screen to see whether the backlight works or not on that one and thatll tell me whats up. Thanks!

It was the assembly. The seller noted it as "tested and working" but I guess Mother Theresa makes mistakes too. It happens.

I have a Samsung Mega and some how my mother board got wet every thing works on it but my screen doesn't stay on. If you hold a flash light to the screen you can see what's on the screen. The screen will light up and then go black.
