How important is the C Channel Snap for model A1181?

I broke the plastic snap that clips to to the C channel. There is essentially nothing useful left of that bit. Is it going to be an issue if I just ignore it? I figured with the screws it is probably okay, but I don't know for sure.

If it were not essential to the design, it wouldn't be included... If a dab of glue can not repair it you'll just have to be extra careful and aware that it's absence could cause problems or strange behavior.

The other "fix" is to order a replacement (if you can locate one, possibly through e-bay).

If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
